National Institute of Technology Warangal announces to register for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test for 2013
National Institute of Technology,warangal released a brief notification of commencement of NIMCET 2013.Now they had announced to register for NIMCET 2013 and releases the schedule of NIMCET 2013.
Candidates who are aspiring to do MCA in NITS of Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal are informed that the admissions will be made only based on scores obtained in NIMCET 2013.
- Candidates who have completed BSc / BSc (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time or B E / B Tech or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Candidates who are appearing for final year/semester of BSc / BSc(Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum 3 years or BE/BTech in the academic year 2012-13 are also eligible , but they have to submit their marks sheet on or before 15th Sep 2013.
- Candidates who have completed/completing degree BSc / BSc(Hons)/BCA/ BIT of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible.
Candidates who meets above eligibility criteria and are interested to join in any one of the NIT’s Mentioned above are intimated that they can apply through online only till 13th April 2013. Candidates should send the print out of completely filled online application form along with necessary enclosures and DD n in favour of “NIMCET-2013” to “The Secretary, NIMCET-2013, National Institute of Technology, Warangal – 506 004, Andhra Pradesh” on or before 16th April 2013.

Candidates can check their details of receipt of application form on or after 26th April 2013.If any candidate doesn’t appear in the details may send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org till 4th May 2013 along with a copy of the print out of online application form, proof of payment of fees such as photo copy of Demand Draft and two passport size photographs, proof of posting.
Necessary documents to be enclosed with application form:
- Copies of Mark sheets of (a) SSC or 10thClass or equivalent (b) 12thClass or equivalent and (c) qualifying Degree
- Category Certificate issued by the competent authority if applicable
- Persons with Disabilities Certificate issued by Competent authority if applicable
Candidates are informed that the Admit cards will not be sent through post and they will be available for them to download from the website from 7th May 2013 to 26th May 2013.If any candidate doesn’t able to download their admit card can send e-mail to email@example.com between 7th May 2013 to 26th May 2013 along with their application number and proof of payment.

NIMCET 2013 will be held on 26th May 2013.Exam includes negative marking. For guidance of Candidates we have provided NIMCET 2013 syllabus below.
Syllabus for NIMCET 2013:
Set Theory: Concept of sets – Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.
Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.
Algebra: Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.
Coordinate Geometry: Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.
Calculus: Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals,simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of functions by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas.
Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and theirapplications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles,heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.
ANALYTICAL ABILITY AND LOGICAL REASONING: (40 questions)
The questions in this section will cover logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage
COMPUTER AWARENESS: (10 questions)
Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and back-up devices.
Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables,Venn diagrams.
GENERAL ENGLISH: (20 questions)
Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidates’ general understanding of the English language. There will be questions on the following topics: Comprehension, vocabulary, Basic English Grammar (like usage of correct forms of verbs, prepositions and articles), word power, synonyms and antonyms, meaning of words and phrases, technical writing.
Results will be released on 11th June 2013. Candidates will be given ranks based on eligibility conditions (Marks)of NIMCET 2013.Candidates should download their rank cards and must fill their choices and should lock them from 17th June 2013 to 24th June 2013. Then the choices will automatically locked by the system on 24th June 2013.
After locking their choices, first allotment will be done on 25th June 2013 and they must report for the first round of counselling on 27th and 28th June 2013 at remote reporting to the nearest NIT with all their original documents and a DD (initial fee Rs.10,000) and should enter their option in option form. Thus they will be allotted seat and will provide provisional admission letter.
NOTE : If candidates entered their options but doesn’t report for first round of counselling will be rejected for admission and will not be allowed for further rounds of counselling.
If any seats remain vacant for second round will be displayed on 1st July 2013.candidates may attend for second round of counselling on 3rd July and 4th July 2013 and the process repeats same as first and if any seats remains after the second round the commencemnt of third round will commence.Third round of allotment will be displayed on 8th July 2013 and counselling will commence on 15th July to 17th July 2013.
Candidates after third round of counselling,they should report at their allotted institute from 15th July to 17th July 2013.
Candidates are informed that if they want to return the seats as if they doesn’t want to join in their allotted institute, they may do it from 18th July 2013 to 20th July 2013.If any seats remain vacant they will be announced on 22nd July 2013 and candidates can fill their choices afresh on 23rd June 2013 and final round of allotment will commence on 25th July 2013.
