Central Board of Secondary Education releases the notification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test for 2013

CBSE which takes the responsibility of the enhancement in the secondary education releases CTET notification for 2013. CTET recruits Eligible candidates as teachers from class I to VIII in  schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi and Government institutions(state) which offers CTET.

Eligibility Criteria:

Teachers for primary Classes(Class I-V):

  • Candidates should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 50% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • Candidates should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 45% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) following regulations of NCTE 2002.
  • Candidates  should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 50% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Candidates should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 45% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Teachers for Elementary Classes(Class VI-VIII):

  • Candidates should have completed Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed),according to the regulations of NCTE regulations from time to time.
  • Candidates should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 50% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Candidates should have completed Senior secondary or it’s equivalent with atleast 50% marks and have passed or going to appear in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

NOTE:

  • Candidates are informed that there will be relaxation of 5% qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
  • The Eligibility criteria prescribed above  are minimum requirements and for Physical Education teachers,teachers of Art Education, Craft Education, Home Science, Work Education, etc. additional requirements should be required as per norms of NCTE time to time.

Candidates who have above eligibility criteria and are interested to appear for CTET 2013 should apply through online only from 15th March to 16th April 2013. Candidates should fill the first part of Application form and should pay the fee in the form of Challan at CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post Office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi  or through credit/debit card. Then with the details of fee payment, they must fill the second part of application.

Candidates after applying ,the conformation will be generated. The generated conformation page must be sent in an envelope of size 12”x9” superscribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR CTET-JULY 2013” to THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY(CTET),CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, PS 1-2, INSTITUTIONAL AREA, I P EXTENSION PATPARGANJ, DELHI – 110092v on or before 22nd April 2013.

Candidates can check their status of conformation page from 15th June 2013.If in any case a candidate status of conformation page shown not received, they must contact CBSE from 16th June to 27th June 2013.

Candidates can download Admit cards from the website from 3rd July 2013. CTET 2013 will be held on 28th July 2013. Examination will be of Multiple choice questions includes two papers, paper-I for a candidate to be a teacher for classes I to V and paper-II for a candidate to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.If a candidate wants to appear for both primary and Elementary stages must appear for both the papers.

Candidates are informed that those who obtain 60% marks in CTET 2013 will be awarded the eligibility certificate.The certificate will be valid for about seven years from commencement of examination. A candidate qualified in CTET once can also attempt the next CTET examination to improve their score.
